GENERAL

Italy reported 41 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday, up from 20 the day before, the health ministry said, while the daily tally of new infections rose from 2,818 to 2,834.

DEBT

Italy’s Treasury said on Tuesday it would offer to buy back five BTP bonds and a CCTeu voucher at an auction on Thursday, using the excess cash it holds at the Bank of Italy. The total nominal amount repurchased will not exceed 5 billion euros (5.79 billion dollars).
